The workshop will provide a forum for the sensitization of the judiciary about the relationship between TB, human rights and the law, with a focus on international law and domestic jurisprudence from the region and around the world. It will also provide an avenue for judges to be informed on the biomedical, social, and economic aspects of the TB epidemic in the region.
Dialogue and development of relationships among judges from the different countries will be promoted in order to foster a human rights-based approach to TB in the courts of the region.
