This comes after the court made a ruling allowing the Secretariat of the United Nations Programme of HIV/AIDS (UNAIDS Secretariat), Prof Alicia Yamin, and the National Gender and Equality Commission (NGEC) to join the petition as friends of the court. The court also allowed the International Community of Women Living with HIV (ICW-Global) and ICW-Kenya to join as interested parties.
The purpose of this mention is to determine whether all the parties to the petition have filed their respective documents as directed by the court.
This petition was filed on 10 December, 2014 to challenge the unconstitutional sterilization by way of tubal ligation of the four petitioners who are women living with HIV.
When: Friday 7 October, 2016 at 10.00 am.
Where: High Court of Kenya at Nairobi, Milimani Law Courts, Constitutional and Human Rights Division, on 3rd Floor (Court Room 1).
