The trainings, which will be held in Kisumu, Nairobi and Kilifi counties, are aimed at achieving the following:
- To enhance the knowledge of medical providers on the legal framework on sexual and reproductive health;
- To interrogate the concept of health as a devolved function; and
- To update participants on the legal and medical developments in the field of reproductive health in Kenya and in particular, the recently enacted Health Act.
As a result of these trainings, KELIN hopes to strengthen the capacity of medical providers, nurses and clinical officers on the legal frameworks governing reproductive health care while also strengthening its relationship with medical providers from the three counties as part of our broader strategic plan.
