The forum will focus on monitoring and documenting achievements, lessons learnt and best practices emanating from the Africa Regional Grant on HIV. It will also facilitate feedback between law enforcement Officers, Health Care Workers and the project implementation team while demonstrating efforts made and mechanisms in place to measure the impact of the project. Additionally, the two day workshop seeks to provide an opportunity for stakeholders to share experiences on the legal barriers that affect access to treatment for key and affected population.
The participants will be drawn from Botswana, Cote d’Ivoire, Kenya, Malawi, Nigeria, Senegal, Seychelles, Tanzania, Uganda and Zambia.
This regional forum is premised on the crucial role that law enforcement officers and healthcare workers play in supporting rights-based responses to HIV and TB in the region. At the end of this forum, KELIN hopes to document lessons learnt and case studies- both positive and negative experiences; and review the regional M&E tracking tool to monitor the progress of the project.
