KELIN in partnership with the National Steering Committee on the implementation of Alternative Justice System (NaSCI-AJS), hosted the Alternative Justice Systems (AJS) sensitization and development of the Siaya Country Action Plan (CAP) for the Siaya Court User Committee (CUC) on the 4th and 5th March 2024 in Siaya. The workshop attracted judges, magistrates, key judicial officers, CUC members and AJS practitioners in Siaya to accelerate the development and launch of the Siaya AJS County Action Plan and the AJS model.
The object of the workshop was to create a well-informed pool of Trainers on AJS, awareness creation of the existing AJS Models, and the development of the AJS County Action plan and the AJS Model. A draft model was developed for consideration, validation thereafter it will be launched led by the judiciary.
